My family of twelve has been going to Peepers Eye Care at Waugh Chapel for over 20 years. This is an outstanding small family business. The atmosphere is always cheery and positively energized. All the staff are helpful, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They are very accommodating of families. Special shout out to Drs Patel (dynamic husband/wife team and proprietors); they are the heart and energy of this wonderful eyecare business. And special shouts out to Navindi who is always so helpful in picking out the right pair of glasses and the ordering process, and Natalie who is a friendly and efficient assistant to the optometrists. Today I picked up my prescription sunglasses from Peepers and I am very pleased. (Actual customer ). I googled nearby Eyewear places and Peeper's was my first choice,from the moment that I walked in, I knew I had the right place. All of the associates greeted me as I entered the store. Wow, I thought, " I have been mistaken for a celebrity". Austin escorted me to the sunglasses showcase and showed me several selections. After my selection I was fitted and advised about VSP discounts and out the pocket cost. I was very impressed with this level of customer service. Not only did Peeper's save me hundreds of dollars, but they made me feel like their customers aren't taken for granted . When my transaction was completed, all of the associates thanked me. Happy New Year to you all! Website was user friendly making an appt. online was easy. I received the appt. reminder call prior to appt. Day of appt. staff greeted me upon my arrival, checked in at front desk & was not just handed the paperwork but staff member took time to explain the paperwork I was given in a friendly & professional manner. Wait time seemed a bit long but they did look busy. Atmosphere was pleasant, relaxing, comfortable & inviting. You don’t feel rushed or herded like sheep/cows in & out. I have been going to Peepers in Gambrills for several years now, not just for myself but with 3 fam members needing glasses & eye exams. I will say Dr. Felix was excellent & is now one of my favs. He not only checked in with me during & throughout my eye exam but in the manner he asked, answered questions & explained the importance of some habits & routines regarding eye care was without judgment, very informative & it helped me really understand...simply put causes & effects(The good, the bad & the ugly so to speak). My eye exam was all good no worries there. Ok, to sum up...all staff was helpful & professional. Navindi was outstanding as always in assisting me with handling my order, asking & answering questions to help me get the best option for what I want & need at the best rate plus checking out with ease. She is awesome! With now over 30 yrs of going for routine eye exams even in different states, I will say I highly recommend coming here for great service and options. - Keisha JToday I went to peepers and haven’t been to the eye doctor in about 2-3 years. I was greeted by the front desk receptionist who was very kind and understanding to me being nervous and anxious. Filling out the paperwork was a breeze and she answered all of my questions. Once I met Dr. Nish Patel he was very personable, bubbly and had great communication skills. He made me feel comfortable and understood. After meeting with the doctor I met Demarcus (he helps with picking glasses and financials) who explained everything to me each step of the way. He lets you know which glasses compliment your skin and brings a few options for you to choose from that’s based on the styles and colors you like. I didn’t feel rushed to pick a choice. It’s almost like your a family member and not an outsider. I highly recommend anyone who wants to have a great eye experience to come here. All of the staff are truly amazing.- Keisha J
I wish I could give more than 5 stars, words can’t explain the appreciation I have for the staff here; especially Sara. My daughter had a freak accident last night and broke her glasses. She have a complicated prescription and they had a new pair under $100 ready for her in an hour. My daughter is picky and Sara had so much grace and patience and genuinely listened to what my daughter wanted. I would suggest this place to anyone.

Wonderful and easy experience! This was the first time buying glasses without my mom’s help with frames. Sara helped me pick out my glasses today and she immediately started pulling great options out for me and listened to my opinions. I was being very picky about what I was looking for but she was so patient, helpful and made my experience a lot of fun! I can’t wait to pick up my new glasses that I will feel confident and comfortable in wearing everyday. Thanks again Sara, and everyone who made my appointment as seamless as possible! Very pleased with my whole experience. Easy to make appointment online. Staff was friendly and courteous. I got contacts and eyeglasses. Dr. Nish Patel was cool! Easy to talk to. And explained everything that was going on with my eyes and what would be best. Then I was assisted by Ashley! She was the best! Very patient, friendly and understanding. She helped me find my perfect glasses and I went through a few. I was able to walk away with my contacts same day and my glasses came back in maybe two weeks. Happy customer, I left with a smile!

Dr Scantlin and the staff are kind, courteous, and give excellent eye care. Dr Scantlin observed a retinal tear on the eye x-ray, recommended me to an EYE SPECIALIST at RGW in Bowie, which lead to laser surgery to correct the repair that I'm sure saved my vision in my left eye. Will recommend to anyone.

I had an amazing experience at Peepers in Bowie. The office was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. The staff was very patient while I confirmed my insurance information. Turned out that Peepers was out of network for me but I was so impressed with the atmosphere that I decided to proceed and pay for everything out of pocket. Everyone was so helpful and because I chose to continue with their services, they decided to help me with discounting the cost. It almost brought me to tears, it’s so hard to find kind people and here was an entire staff being so kind to me. I want to give a special shout-out to Dr. Iskandar who listened to my concerns and was so patient with me during my exam. He went above and beyond to make sure all concerns were addressed. A special shout-out to Jeanall, the optician- Simply the best. She helped me before I even had my exam. So gentle and really interactive. A special shout-out to Ashley, one of the managers, she too went above and beyond to make sure I had the services I needed and a great experience. I wish I could give 10 stars!

Dr. Patel was fantastic. She was patient, kind, explained everything in detail. I felt very well taken care of throughout my exam. Austin was equally great. He helped me with my frames, doing as many adjustments as needed to get the perfect fit. Great experience and supporting our downtown historic district too. And the insurance coverage was great too! Very highly recommend this practice!

UPD: just got my glasses, and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Veera’s prescription works so well for me, that the glasses feel natural, unlike some of my previous experiences with other doctors, when it would take me up to a week to get used to the new lenses. And I especially appreciate the care with which my glasses were packed and bubble wrapped for mail delivery, and the sweet little note that came with them

Totally recommend NV’y. I’ve been wearing glasses since six years old, so not my first rodeo, but definitely one of the best experiences I ever had getting my eye exam and new glasses here. Dr. Veera Patel is very professional and attentive to detail, and the store manager, Janelle, is incredibly sweet and helpful. They have a really good selection of frames, and high quality lenses too.
My experience was everything I wanted and more. They have state-of-the-art equipment for eye health checks. Phenomenal and competent Doctor and staff. Answered all of my questions and helped me pick out a pair of shades that fit perfectly. You can't not look good in Maui Jims. Thanks many!

Very clean establishment, friendly staff, and knowledgeable doctor. They were timely and efficient, I was in and out without hassle. They have a broad frame selection and I found a good pair without having to look too hard, AND both my glasses and contacts came in way before expected.
